OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Sophomore Megan Weiss (Odenton/Seton) scored five goals and the Stevenson University women’s lacrosse netted the game’s first nine en route to a 15-6 victory over Marymount (Va.) in the quarterfinals of the CAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship Saturday at Caves Athletics Complex.
The Mustangs (10-6) advance to the semifinals on Tuesday at Salisbury where they will face the top-seeded and No. 1-ranked Sea Gulls for the second-straight year. Last season, Salisbury won 23-7 on April 22, 2008.
The win also marked the second consecutive season that Stevenson has won at least 10 games, marking the first time since 1998. It was also the team’s fourth-straight win at home.
